Baba Ijesha: TAMPPAN Suspends Actors Nkechi Blessing, Lege Miami

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPPAN) has suspended actors Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Lege Miami (born Adams Kehinde).

The Nigerian film sect issued a memorandum signed by the Chairman, TAMPPAN Guild of Directors, Damola Olatunji on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

Their suspension is connected to the arrest of their colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka alias Baba Ijesha over the allegations that he defiled a 14-year-old girl.

Shortly after the reports of Baba Ijesha’s arrest, Nkechi Blessing Sunday condemned the actor and his alleged actions on her Instagram page.

Lege Miami also took to his Instagram page to ask for the evidence showing Baba Ijesha molesting the 14-year-old girl.

This clash of interests between Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Lege Miami caused them to engage in a heated exchange of words that has been observed by TAMPPAN.

The memorandum reads in part:
“In accordance with the directive from our parent body, THEATRE ARTS AND MOTION PICTURES PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (TAMPPAN) concerning the show of shame currently going on between two practitioners, Sunday Nkechi Blessing and Mr Adams Kehinde on social media, creating a bad image for our noble profession, punitive order becomes imperative to redeem our battered image.”
