GREENFIELD UNIVERSITY: BANDITS RELEASE ONE ABDUCTED STUDENT

One of the abducted students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, has been released.

The mother of the released student, Mrs. Lauretta Attahiru, confirmed this on Tuesday to journalists in Kaduna.

She did not however give details of how her son was released as she declined to make further comments.

The police could not however be reached to confirm the release of the student as Mohammad Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, did not respond to telephone calls calls and a text message .

Meanwhile, Shehu Sani, a former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District has appealed to fulani socio-cultural groups to intercede to secure the release of the students being held by bandits in Kaduna.

Sani who stated this on twitter, disclosed that he had privately appealed to the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore to help secure the release of the students.

The 46 students are being held in captivity by two groups of bandits who invaded Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna and a privately owned institution, Greenfield University, Kaduna.
